What is Maskne?

Over time, wearing a mask or face covering leads to inflammation and moisture buildup that can block pores and cause bacteria to grow and spread.  Maskne is a form of acne mechanica that causes breakouts in the areas covered by a face mask – the jaw, cheeks, nose, chin, and around the mouth.
